Let’s meet virtually or in person

Private mindfulness sessions are completely customizable based on your unique needs and what you’d like to explore and discover in your own life. Meditation is about uncovering who you already are, cultivating what’s going well with you, rather than focusing on the negative. Through careful and gentle attending to your own experience, as it is, your world can transform, beginning from the inside out. There’s understanding mindfulness intellectually and conceptually, then there’s knowing it directly from your own experience and inquiry. Through experiential learning, mindfulness makes us happier, healthier, and live with more focus, patience and compassion for yourself and others. How long have you been ignoring your well-being? You deserve to make self-care a priority.

Packages of 4, 6, and 8 sessions are available. Sessions are 50-minutes in length. Daily home practice assignments and meditation recordings are offered and strongly recommended. It is strongly encouraged that participants spend anywhere from 10-30 minutes per day practicing formal meditation on the 6 days in between our live sessions. Sessions are based off MBSR principles and build on the one prior.

I developed tinnitus a few months ago. I discovered there is no cure, but learning to cope with the constant sound in my ears from my brain was the only solution. I spoke with an expert in tinnitus at the University of Iowa. Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction was recommended. Allison was endorsed by a highly-respected director of counseling in the central Iowa area, so I decided to give her eight week course a try. OMGosh, I am so glad I did! I am a high energy, anxious person. My stress has been reduced, and I now have the tools keep myself calmer. It feels so good. The meditation links provided by Allison are top-notch and remain available after the course ends. I took the course via Zoom, but received all the personal attention I needed. Follow up, communication etc. were always prompt, professional and tailored to my needs. In addition, she is simply an overall lovely person with whom to communicate and spend time. I also signed up for a famous, nationally known MBSR tinnitus course out of California. Allison’s guided meditations are far superior. Cancellation and Refund Policy:

– Cancellations made 7 or more days prior to date of first meeting: Full fee is transferable for use within 6 months from session start date.

– Less than 24 hours notice prior to the date of a meeting, no shows, and withdrawing mid-session: Full fee is forfeited.

– If you pay via credit card and you request a refund, From Within Wellness, LLC will refund you the total amount less a 3.5% surcharge fee for credit card processing.


About Allison Peet

Allison Peet is a certified Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Instructor trained at  UMass Center for Mindfulness, founded by Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD and the  Mindfulness Center at Brown UniversityShe is trained through  Mindful Schools and is also a certified  Buteyko Breathing Method and registered yoga instructor (RYT200).  She’s taught since 2015 and hundreds have graduated from her MBSR program. Based on a pre and post self-evaluation, 84% of grads lowered their perceived stress, and reduced stress levels an average of 35%. Allison completes multiple week-long silent meditation retreats and has a regular practice. The cultivation of mindfulness transformed her relationship with stress and anxiety which motivated her to start her own business in 2015,  From Within Wellness, to benefit others. She is committed to creating a more mindful community by helping people develop pragmatic life skills in attentional strength, present moment awareness, self-compassion, and stress resiliency.
