If you’re curious about learning how to meditate and begin an on-going, personal mindfulness practice, come join this experiential educational class. Discover the healing power of mindfulness by learning various meditation and breathing techniques, mindful movement, and self-compassion. Uncover the power of the present moment to respond to life more deliberately and access your own authority and authenticity. No prior meditation experience necessary and no floor sitting is required. Lead by Allison Peet, a Certified Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) instructor, registered yoga teacher and certified Buteyko Breathing Method instructor.

Daily home practice assignments will be offered and encouraged. We will sometimes use a free meditation app called Insight Timer, which will require you to download to your smartphone. Participants must have a smart phone to have access to this app. It is strongly encouraged that participants spend anywhere from 5-20 minutes per day practicing formal meditation on the 6 days in between our live meetings.

Learn mindfulness meditation

Lead by an experienced, certified Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Instructor, you will have full access during your program to support

– Cancellations made 7 or more days prior to date of first meeting: Full fee is transferable for use within 6 months from session start date.

– Less than 24 hours notice prior to the date of a meeting, no shows, and withdrawing mid-session: Full fee is forfeited.

– If you pay via credit card and you request a refund, From Within Wellness, LLC will refund you the total amount less a 3.5% surcharge fee for credit card processing.

About Your Instructor

Allison Peet is a certified Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Instructor trained at  UMass Center for Mindfulness, founded by Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD and the  Mindfulness Center at Brown UniversityShe is trained through  Mindful Schools and is also a certified  Buteyko Breathing Method and registered yoga instructor (RYT200).  She’s taught since 2015 and hundreds have graduated from her MBSR program. Based on a pre and post self-evaluation, 84% of grads lowered their perceived stress, and reduced stress levels an average of 35%. Allison completes multiple week-long silent meditation retreats and has a regular practice. The cultivation of mindfulness transformed her relationship with stress and anxiety which motivated her to start her own business in 2015,  From Within Wellness, to benefit others. She is committed to creating a more mindful community by helping people develop pragmatic life skills in attentional strength, present moment awareness, self-compassion, and stress resiliency.
