My vision is to create a more mindful community by developing practical life skills in attentional strength, present moment awareness, and self-compassion. I help people discover and cultivate their own inner resources to build greater stress resiliency.
“Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction training was invaluable to me as I was finishing up my cancer treatment. I wish that I had taken the class earlier in my journey—it helped me to remain calm during the actual therapy, and it improved my well-being overall in handling the worry about potential future recurrences. Allison introduced different techniques so we were able to choose methods that were most comfortable and natural for us. Cancer is currently in my rearview mirror, but I continue to use MBSR, and when I do, the quality of my day improves and stress seems to decrease and become much more manageable.” – L.H. Summer 2018 MBSR graduate
“I can’t thank you enough for the mindfulness 8-week session I attended. I had previously read one book about mindfulness on the recommendation of a professional in spiritual direction. I got the general idea of mindfulness from the book, but nowhere near the more comprehensive instruction I got from your course. So, thanks again for everything.” – B.H. (Fall 2017 MBSR graduate)
“I just finished the 8-week MBSR class with Allison. She is such a good teacher. She presents the material in such a clear fashion. I was so impressed with her ability to handle very difficult topics and questions in such a mindful way. She really created a great space for participants to share their personal journeys. The worst part about the class is that it’s over!” – C.W. (Fall 2017 MBSR graduate)
