Modern mindfulness from the inside out.
Welcome! I’m Allison.
Research suggests that there’s almost a 50% chance you’re not really here –
our attention gets hijacked by mental content or stress and we miss out on our life.
There’s compelling evidence supporting the fact that mindfulness meditation, when practiced regularly, can lead to:
• Structural changes in the brain that can increase mental performance
• Reduced genetic aging because of the impact on gene expression
• Improved communication skills
• Enhanced immune function
It’s difficult to start and maintain a regular mindfulness practice.
It’s time to prioritize self-care. You deserve support along your journey.

Don’t take my word for it, see what clients and colleagues have to say:
I am pleased to recommend and endorse Allison Peet as a MBSR practitioner. Having worked with Allison at the Des Moines Pastoral Counseling Center and referred many of my clients to her, I can attest to her skill, attentiveness to her students and genuineness. She is a truly caring and competent teacher. I took MBSR myself several years ago in another state, and Allison’s classes are far more comprehensive and detailed than the training I received. My clients speak highly of her teaching as well as the quality of her presence and I have seen the benefits of their MBSR experience on their healing process in therapy. I have also referred clients for individual work with Allison, a service that other MBSR practitioners do not provide. I highly recommend Allison for anyone, in therapy or not, who wants a comprehensive and effective MBSR experience.

I just finished the 8-week MBSR class with Allison. She is such a good teacher. She presents the material in such a clear fashion. I was so impressed with her ability to handle very difficult topics and questions in such a mindful way. She really created a great space for participants to share their personal journeys. The worst part about the class is that it’s over!

I would recommend Allison to anyone, and, in fact, I do recommend her all the time to friends and acquaintances! I have learned so much from her. She is compassionate and incredibly passionate about what she does. She does a wonderful job of tailoring her sessions to the individual client. At the time I started going to Allison I was under considerable stress and she gave me new tools to help with relaxation and mindfulness.

I took the MBSR 8-week course with Allison and it really was a life changing experience. Since taking the course, I’ve been able to get off my anxiety medication as well as sleep medication. Allison is a wonderful teacher/guide and I would highly recommend her course to anyone struggling with coping with stress and anxiety.

I struggle to find the words for how strongly I recommend this course. Consider giving yourself this gift. I truly feel like this class rewired my brain. During the class, we wrote ourselves letters, which the teacher sent to us a few months after the class ended. I’ve actually been carrying around my letter-to-self for a month, keeping it in my purse, because I didn’t feel the need to read it…yet. Today when my work computer had an issue that went from mere annoyance to disaster, and I am left literally unable to do my job, it was a good time to open up that letter!
